Job summary

Springhill Suites Dulles is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support engineering operations, property upkeep, and guest room and public area maintenance. You will work with the Chief Engineer on preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance to protect assets and guest satisfaction.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, plus 2+ years of maintenance experience. Certification in CPO or appliance repair is a plus, and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CPO and appliance repair certification desired, or ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred; attention to detail and customer focus.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be available at least one day on the weekend, AM or PM.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: learn and perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, inspections and capital projects as directed by the Chief Engineer.
• Guest service: respond to guest requests with friendliness and high service levels.
• Identify concerns and propose maintenance solutions to protect property assets and financial performance.
• Follow engineering SOPs and assist with department duties as needed.
• Collaborate with others to support needs across departments and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following brand and regulatory guidelines.
