Job summary

Kimpton Fort Lauderdale Beach is seeking a skilled facilities technician to maintain hotel building systems and equipment, ensuring guest safety and comfort.

You will perform preventative maintenance, check electrical and HVAC, repair plumbing and carpentry tasks, service the pool, and keep the exterior appealing. This role requires physical work and flexibility to respond to guest needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in building trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Ability to read and follow operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders (ceiling tiles, bulbs, etc.).
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Assist in checking electrical systems and minor repairs; repair or replace fixtures and equipment.
• Service hotel pool and maintain chemical levels; document maintenance logs.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal; refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest areas.
