Job summary

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a proactive maintenance professional to handle guest repair requests, preventive maintenance, and safety-compliant repairs in a hotel environment. The role requires basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting skills with a focus on timely guest service.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing equipment, following Lockout/Tagout procedures, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while coordinating with shifts and reporting daily activities.

Qualifications

• License or Certification: Driver’s License.
• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions to guests.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment.
• Inspect and repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems in guestrooms.
• Use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 50 pounds; perform painting and drywall touchups.
