Job summary

SMI Hotel Group is seeking a capable Maintenance Technician to care for our hotels' facilities. You will handle electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry tasks, respond to guest repair requests, and ensure safety and quality across the property.

This role requires reliable teamwork, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. On-site throughout shifts, you will contribute to a well-maintained guest experience and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience with general trades.
• Electrical and HVAC knowledge required.
• Excellent guest service, highly organized and detail oriented.
• Team player with availability nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests with professional service.
• Operate, repair and maintain hotel lighting and related systems.
• Operate, repair and maintain plumbing and related systems.
• Repair and maintain hotel appliances and equipment and physical plant.
• Paint surfaces and equipment; minor wall repairs and touch-ups.
• Repair and maintain lock and key system.
• Perform minor construction work.
• Inspect and repair kitchen and restaurant equipment and furnishings.
• Ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
