Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality seeks a Hotel General Maintenance Technician to support the Chief Engineer, handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool maintenance and general facility upkeep. You will report to the General Manager and Chief Engineer, delivering high-quality work with guest disruption minimized.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in maintenance, can communicate with supervisors, perform preventive maintenance, and use standard hand tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a maintenance-type position.
• Ability to repair and replace basic heating and air conditioning systems.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance methods and techniques.
• Experience testing pool and spa chemicals.
• Ability to use standard hand tools and perform painting/caulking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior areas with preventive maintenance.
• Identify maintenance concerns and address them with minimal supervision.
• Communicate activities, priorities, and problems to management.
• Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Follow safety protocols and store tools in designated areas.
