Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Engineer for TownePlace Suites by Marriott to ensure proper operation of hotel facilities. You will assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool maintenance and general upkeep, reporting to the General Manager and Chief Engineer.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hotel maintenance, solid knowledge of maintenance trades, and the ability to communicate with management and staff.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a maintenance-type position, preferably in a hotel or apartment environment.
• Ability to communicate operational activities with management engineers and supervisors.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance methods and techniques for maintaining equipment.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and monitor operations of interior and exterior areas of the property.
• Follow McKibbon guidelines to protect assets, associates, and guests.
• Promote guest satisfaction and perform engineering tasks.
• Repair and replace basic heating and air conditioning systems.
• Perform painting and caulking as needed; use standard hand tools.
• Train others in engineering skills when required.
• Be the point of contact for maintenance in the absence of the Chief Maintenance Engineer.
