Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a hotel maintenance technician to respond to service calls with priority on guest requests and keep equipment in a safe, efficient state. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and participate in general building upkeep across a Hilton-flagged property.

The role requires high school completion or trade-type training, 2+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to handle emergency situations and multi-system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school training with building maintenance focus.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation capabilities.
• Clear communication of hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat water to maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment; maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems and monitor electrical switch gears.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and daily operations.
• Make rounds to ensure everything is in working order and complete maintenance requests.
• Respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures.
• Operate boiler and chiller and maintain temperatures throughout the building.
• Assist with parking lot maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
