Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest service calls and keep hotel equipment in safe, efficient condition. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, and guest room systems.

The role involves taking water samples, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring a clean, well-maintained engineering space while supporting emergency responses and regular rounds of the property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment including carpentry, repair work, construction, and renovation.
• Two years of prior experience in building maintenance and construction.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat water to maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment and monitor domestic hot/cold-water systems and electrical switch gears.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and daily operations.
• Make rounds of the property to ensure everything is in working order.
• Complete maintenance requests, take equipment readings, and maintain logs for next shift.
• Respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters, and power failures; notify authorities as needed.
• Operate boiler and chiller and maintain temperatures throughout the building.
• Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
