Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance, and repair hotel equipment across several systems. The role involves monitoring boiler and chiller operations, water chemistry, and safety compliance in a hotel environment.

You will take part in rounds, log readings, and assist with after-hours emergencies. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in building maintenance, strong HVAC/electrical skills, and the ability to communicate service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school; specialized courses are a plus.
• Two years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Ability to repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform basic carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples and treat systems to maintain chemical levels; monitor and operate boiler, chiller, and hot/cold water systems.
• Complete maintenance requests, record readings, and notify next shift; respond to emergencies (fire alarms, power failures).
