Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Associate to keep hotel facilities in top condition. You will repair and replace items, refurbish guest rooms, and organize daily operations to ensure smooth service.

You will follow safety guidelines, maintain clean, safe areas, and assist guests with a friendly, professional demeanor. A high school diploma or vocational training is required, with knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience – at least one year of maintenance or repair work.
• High school diploma or vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, building management programs and/or reporting tools like HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventive maintenance procedures.
• CPO certification – ideal if hotel has a pool.
• Fitness – able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods.
• Compliance – meet local laws on food handling, serving alcohol, and language fluency.
• Strong communication – warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms.
• Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and report incidents.
• Take responsibility for safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel.
• Follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep systems running smoothly.
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests.
• Keep supervisor informed about low running supplies.
• Look smart and approachable in your uniform.
• Be ready to take on extra duties as needed.
