Job summary

Hyatt Regency Westlake is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, amenities, and facilities operating at peak performance. You will resolve in-room issues, maintain HVAC and lighting, and support a safe, comfortable environment that enhances guest stays.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance across hotel facilities, documenting repairs, coordinating with Front Desk and Chief Engineer, and staying attuned to daily meter readings and preventive tasks to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical training in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel facilities, pool, and surrounding areas, performing routine painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC functions, and related maintenance using hand tools.
• Notify management of major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest service requests and keep records of rooms completed.
• Program hotel phone equipment according to needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings daily.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Learn emergency procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
