Job summary

Westmont Hospitality Group in Houston is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment including HVAC, plumbing, pool, boiler, and guest rooms. You will respond to room calls, maintain maintenance logs, and communicate clearly with guests and staff.

Must be able to stand for long periods and operate in various conditions; English proficiency required. Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and general maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and act accordingly.
• Willingness to follow hotel policies and procedures including safety and key control.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Proficient with basic hand and electric tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems hotel-wide.
• Coordinates preventative maintenance according to schedule (e.g., room care).
• Maintains pool and records maintenance and chemical levels.
• Assists other Engineering staff as needed.
• Performs tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
