Job summary

Extended Stay America in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure guest rooms and the property are in top condition. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and daily upkeep, responding to guest requests with courtesy and efficiency.

The role requires following Green Shield Binder procedures, maintaining records, and collaborating with management to meet safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and ability to read English are required.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently and interact with guests, associates and vendors.
• Follow safety rules and maintenance instructions per manuals and standards.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Perform math using measurements and unit conversions.
• Use weight, volume and distance measurements accurately.
• Exercise good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues per company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% commitment to guest and associate experience.
• Perform essential duties with minimal supervision and within standards.
• Respond to guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Carry out out-of-room cleaning to keep premises pristine, including snow/ice removal where applicable.
• Repair items listed on work orders promptly and professionally.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as scheduled.
• Follow Green Shield Schedule and SOPs to finish tasks on time.
• Keep maintenance areas organized and secure tool inventory daily.
• Maintain boiler rooms, electric rooms, HVAC rooms, and life safety equipment.
• Comply with ESA safety policies, OSHA and ADA requirements.
• Assist with pool/spa maintenance per ESA policies and local ordinances.
• Assist with emergencies and coordinate with management as needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when directed.
