Job summary

Extended Stay America in Portland, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all property equipment functions, keep premises pristine, and keep guest rooms in good repair.

You will follow Green Shield Binder procedures, perform repairs, complete PM inspections, maintain records, and coordinate with management for emergencies.

This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong safety awareness, and the responsiveness to guest requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand safety rules and follow procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to guest and associate experience and works with minimal supervision.
• Responds to guest requests with timely follow-through according to guidelines.
• Cleans and maintains guest areas and non-guest spaces to keep premises pristine, handling trash and debris as needed.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders in a timely, professional manner.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections as outlined in the Green Shield Binder.
• Maintains organized work areas and tool inventories daily and follows safety protocols.
