Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a General Maintenance role to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained. The position involves exterior grounds upkeep, light repairs, and preventative maintenance for guestrooms and facilities.

Responsibilities include daily maintenance of equipment, minor repairs to plumbing, electrical systems, and fixtures, and refurbishment of furniture and fixtures in guest rooms.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry, lift, push and pull up to 100–300 pounds.
• Frequently stand and move about the facility.
• Frequent handling of objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior grounds daily and frequently.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks such as replacing tiles, filters, bulbs, and repairs to equipment.
• Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the next day.
• Monitor electrical systems and doors, perform minor repairs for efficiency.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms; paint when needed.
• Maintain entrance, parking, and exterior areas in a clean, presentable state.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of facility exterior, grounds, pool, and facilities.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to guest questions promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure teamwork and service quality.
