Columbia Hospitality is hiring a General Maintenance technician to uphold the hotel’s appearance and ensure the reliability of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You’ll handle repairs, safety, and daily upkeep, with a focus on efficiency and quality service.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level experience or 2+ years in building maintenance preferred.
• Must have valid driver license.
• General understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform painting, woodworking, and general carpentry.
• Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the building’s physical appearance and working order of the hotel, and assist with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system functionality.
• Ensure security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of engineering tools, equipment, and safety features.
• Keep storerooms and work areas clean and organized; store tools and spare parts properly.
• Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Respond to after-hour calls as necessary; address unsafe conditions immediately.
