Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment functions, maintain pristine premises, and keep guest rooms in good repair. The role requires following Green Shield Binder tasks and company standards under management direction.

You will perform repairs, maintenance inspections, and preventative tasks, while maintaining organized work areas and coordinating with outside vendors as needed. A focus on guest satisfaction and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and company guidelines and standards.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to guest and associate satisfaction.
• Works with minimal supervision while performing duties to satisfaction and within standards.
• Responds to and assists with guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Performs out-of-room cleaning to maintain pristine premises, including trash removal and cleanliness of interiors, exteriors, and walkways.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined in procedures.
• Follows safety and scheduling guidelines to accomplish tasks promptly.
