Job summary

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to maintain guest rooms, public areas, and building systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to requests, and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building issues in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to safely perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing ladders.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general mechanical systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-service oriented.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building issues.
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities in good working condition.
• Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs accurately.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment failures, and property damage to management.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations and respond appropriately to urgent requests.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all company, hotel, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
