Job summary

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and team members.

The ideal candidate will perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues. This position will respond promptly to maintenance requests, complete work orders efficiently, and assist with emergency repairs and operational needs as they arise.

The Maintenance Technician will regularly inspect the property to identify potential safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and equipment issues, reporting significant problems to management. The position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing excellent service to both guests and team members.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment and have the flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ability to safely lift, carry, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks associated with hotel maintenance is required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Qualifications:

Previous hotel maintenance, building maintenance, engineering, or related experience preferred.
