Job summary

Parks Hospitality Group is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician/Engineer to oversee the physical health of two premium Cary properties: Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh Cary and Doubletree Raleigh Cary. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, working closely with the Chief Engineer to keep guest rooms, meeting spaces, and systems in peak condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in maintenance or construction, preferably hotels.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Good communication and teamwork; ability to work independently.
• Trade certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.

Join Our Team as an Hotel Maintenance Technician/Engineer at the Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh Cary and Doubletree Raleigh Cary!

Are you a skilled troubleshooter who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and wants to oversee the physical health of a premium hotel property?

At Parks Hospitality Group, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineer to join our dedicated team. In this key role, you will be the go-to technical expert on the floor—responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and executing a wide variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks. Working closely with our Chief Engineer, you will take ownership of our facilities to keep our property, equipment, and guest-facing systems running in peak condition.

This position will work dual property, 262 guest rooms and meeting spaces all in one shared parking lot!

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, performing repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Assist with maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and reorder items as needed.
• Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
• Assist in training and mentoring other maintenance staff as needed.

What You’ll Need

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or construction-related field, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Solid understanding of building maintenance principles and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Technical training or certification in a relevant trade is advantageous.
