Job summary

Parks Hospitality Group Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Homewood Suites Raleigh-Cary I-40 in Cary, NC. The role involves routine upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure guest areas and facilities are in top condition.

You will join a team, address guest requests promptly, and help maintain equipment and public areas. A high school diploma and 1 year of maintenance experience are required, with strong communication and safety awareness being essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance or construction-related experience.
• Basic understanding of building maintenance principles and practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to lift at least 25 pounds and stand/bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and preventive repairs on building systems and equipment throughout the property.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, such as refrigerators, ice machines, and laundry equipment.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the hotel grounds and public areas.
• Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Adhere to safety and security guidelines in the use of tools and equipment.

What You’ll Need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in a maintenance or construction-related field.
• Basic understanding of building maintenance principles and practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting at least 25 pounds, standing for extended periods, and bending/kneeling.
