Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep hotel facilities, pool, and public areas performing at peak levels. You will handle minor repairs, monitor equipment, and respond to guest service requests to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.

You’ll work closely with Front Desk and the Chief Engineer, document repairs, manage parts inventory, and support emergency procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor routine maintenance tasks with hand tools.
• Notify management concerning major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service and keep records of rooms completed.
• Program hotel phone equipment as needed.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings daily.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer and maintain MSDS files.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Learn emergency procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How You'll Shape The Experience & Future

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Learn emergency procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.

Experience With

• Routine upkeep of hotel facilities, pool areas, and public spaces.
• Monitoring daily equipment operations and utility meter readings.
• Programming and maintaining hotel systems.
• Managing small inventories of tools and maintenance parts.
• Documenting completed repairs and guest service tasks.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.
