Job summary

Drury Inn & Suites Overland Park is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to maintain a safe, well-run hotel property and grounds. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

You will develop, implement, and monitor safety and ergonomic programs, maintain detailed records, and train fellow team members while collaborating with management on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across hotel systems and equipment.
• Ability to train Maintenance Tech I team members on procedures.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration and mechanical operations.
• Experience developing and monitoring safety/compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting and HVAC systems.
• Develop and monitor safety programs and regulatory compliance for the facility.
• Keep detailed records and reports of maintenance activities.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I staff.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule department needs.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences through courteous service and positive attitude.
