Job summary

IHG Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Representative to keep our hotel running smoothly, from routine repairs to preventative maintenance. You will help ensure guest rooms and public spaces stay in excellent condition, while following safety guidelines and collaborating with team members.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, basic plumbing/electrical knowledge, and proficiency with common reporting tools.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance or repair experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, a building management program and/or reporting tools like Qoure, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems.
• CPO certification is ideal if the hotel has a pool.
• Fitness to be on your feet most of the day and to bend/kneel as required.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol; fluent in the local language.
• Strong communication: warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish guest rooms.
• Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Maintain high safety standards and report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas.
• Follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep systems efficient.
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to guests.
• Keep supervisor informed about supplies and issues.
• Maintain a neat appearance and uniform.
• Be ready to take on extra duties as needed.
