Job summary

Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our engineering team in a hotel setting downtown. The role requires building maintenance across guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house areas, with emphasis on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of major systems.

You will operate a Windows-based maintenance platform, read blueprints, and cover shifts as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth within Hyatt's renowned culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience is required, hotel experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of major building systems including life-safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; basic troubleshooting skills.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service building systems in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas including kitchen and HVAC.
• Perform preventative maintenance on major equipment using a Windows-based computer system.
• Provide shift coverage as part of the hotel maintenance team.
