Job summary

Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee building maintenance across guest areas and back-of-house spaces. The role requires strong trouble-shooting, the ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with life-safety systems.

Two years of maintenance experience in a hotel setting is preferred. The engineer will lead maintenance efforts on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility improvements, with shifts on demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of life-safety systems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint surfaces of the building structure, furniture, and equipment using proper application techniques and color matching.
• Measure lengths and assess areas for repair; plaster or spackle surfaces.
• Mix paint colors and apply to buildings and equipment; use brushes and rollers.
• Install and repair wall and ceiling surfaces; hang vinyl wall coverings.
• Maintain caulked, grouted, and masonry surfaces; perform caulking, grouting, plastering and tile work as needed.
• Read blueprints/schematics to guide maintenance tasks; work with life-safety systems as required.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
