Job summary

SHERATON DALLAS HOTEL BY THE GALLERIA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair the hotel’s mechanical/electrical systems and general facilities. You will support preventative maintenance, pool care, and exterior maintenance to preserve the property’s curb appeal and safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, plus a high school diploma and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of building layout and hotel functions.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to listen, speak, read and write English clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while remaining flexible and cheerful.
• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) and hotel equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule (e.g., room care).
• Maintains pool by adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; logs maintenance requests.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Follows safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
• Assists other Engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
