Job summary

Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our engineering team in a hotel setting downtown. The role requires building maintenance across guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house areas, with emphasis on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of major systems.

You will operate a Windows-based maintenance platform, read blueprints, and cover shifts as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth within Hyatt's renowned culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience is required, hotel experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of major building systems including life-safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; basic troubleshooting skills.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service building systems in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas including kitchen and HVAC.
• Perform preventative maintenance on major equipment using a Windows-based computer system.
• Provide shift coverage as part of the hotel maintenance team.

Join us for this incredible opportunity at Hyatt Regency Dallas, which is located downtown next to the iconic Reunion Tower. The Mechanic is responsible for shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble‑shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. The Mechanic also performs preventative maintenance on major equipment and systems using a windows-based computer system.
