Job summary

Sethi Management, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the hotel’s maintenance operations and ensure the appearance and functionality of all facilities. You will lead the maintenance staff, schedule work, and supervise external contractors to keep equipment and systems running smoothly.

The role focuses on complying with safety standards, managing the budget, and coordinating with the General Manager and departments to maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and associates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel.
• Administer the maintenance and life safety programs, including purchasing, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs and life safety.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by modeling and adhering to Guest Service Standards.
• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance staff, inspect work to ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
• Plan and schedule effectively to meet financial objectives while maintaining product quality.
• Monitor budget and control departmental expenses, including maintenance contracts and utilities.
• Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and Capital plans.
• Ensure compliance with company, state, local and federal policies for a clean, safe environment.
• Oversee operations of hotel equipment and systems including life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, kitchen, and laundry.
• Ensure maintenance requests are logged, followed up, and resolved promptly.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate maintenance staff.
• Communicate with General Manager/Assistant General Manager about building conditions and cost-effective maintenance proposals.
• Supervise external contractors as needed.
• Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies.
