Job summary

Island Hospitality Management, LLC seeks a Chief Engineer for our hotel, a hands-on leader who enjoys problem solving and building maintenance. The role requires flexibility in scheduling and a focus on guest satisfaction and brand standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting systems, performing preventative maintenance, supervising staff, managing budgets, and coordinating with inspectors and contractors to ensure safety and compliance. Prior hotel maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a hotel.
• Scope includes preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and budget considerations.
• Supervisory experience and ability to coordinate with inspectors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in hotel electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems.
• Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance and schedule work.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with inspectors and contractors to ensure code compliance.
