Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer for our hotel. The role focuses on resolving building issues, hands-on maintenance, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The position may require flexible scheduling to address maintenance needs and emergencies.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, coordinating bids, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and building codes. Pool and exterior upkeep are also part of the duties; a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Conducting ongoing room preventative maintenance.
• Supervising and scheduling maintenance staff.
• Inspecting property to identify needs and manage budget.
• Coordinate with inspectors to ensure codes and regulations compliance.
• Maintain pool and exterior building upkeep.
• Prioritize and schedule work orders with hotel management.
