Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Springfield, IL property. Responsible for preventive and repair of mechanical/electrical systems and for general upkeep of the building, pool, grounds and FF&E.

The role operates within a 24/7 hotel environment with varied shifts. Candidates should be proficient in multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) and capable of troubleshooting routine malfunctions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel.
• Comply with hotel policies and procedures including appearance, safety and emergency procedures.
• Skilled in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance on a schedule (e.g., room care).
• Service the hotel pool and maintain chemical levels and logs.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal (lawn, painting, landscaping).
• Follow safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions.
