Job summary

MCR Hilton Garden Inn Solomons in Dowell, Maryland, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support hotel operations. You will handle repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the property.

The role requires a technical or vocational background, at least 2 years in hospitality or commercial facilities, and a can-do attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills. Varied shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to repair requests from guests and document completion.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep PM schedules up to date.
• Ensure safety measures follow health codes and report any emergencies.
• Conduct full property walks at shift start and end.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized during shifts.
