Hyatt Place Miami Airport East is hiring a maintenance-oriented engineer to support the hotel's operations in Miami, FL. The role involves guest-focused repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance across guest rooms and public spaces.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of related work experience, a technical or vocational degree, and a positive, collaborative attitude. The position offers weekly pay, paid time off, and health benefits after initial probation.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Can-Do Attitude: Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to Follow Guidelines: Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all requests from guests for general repairs when requested, confirm and document completion through the electronic work order platform.
• All room and public space Preventative Maintenance work should be kept up to date and on schedule in accordance with the hotel PM Program.
• Ensure all safety measures are followed and report any emergency or life safety concerns to supervisor.
• Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of each shift; note, document, and complete any maintenance needs.
