Job summary

SHERATON MIAMI AIRPORT HOTEL is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the Engineering Department at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center. The role leads daily operations, oversees maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, meeting facilities, and building systems, and ensures safety, quality, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong HVAC knowledge, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
Five or more years of engineering or facilities maintenance experience, including supervisory/management experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, preventive maintenance, and life safety systems.
OSHA regulations, building codes, and CMMS proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Engineering Department, including maintenance programs, training, and coaching.
Respond to work tickets and guest concerns to ensure satisfaction and efficiency.
Support renovations, capital projects, and equipment replacements ensuring safety and timeliness.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire and life safety standards, codes, and Marriott brand standards.
Manage engineering inventory and ensure replenishment of tools and supplies.
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, spaces, and grounds for quality and asset protection.
Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support operations and guest service.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
