Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking an Engineer- General Clean Preventive Maintenance to uphold hotel facilities and safety standards in Washington, DC. You will perform maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, supporting preventative programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry while ensuring quick, professional responses to guest requests.

Ideal candidates have prior maintenance or building operations experience, strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, hotel maintenance, or building operations experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, electrical systems, carpentry and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair across guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel facilities.
• Support preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, and carpentry.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests quickly and professionally to support satisfaction.
• Perform painting, patching, plumbing repairs, and routine engineering tasks as needed.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing hotel equipment and mechanical systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and logs.
