Job summary

Hyatt is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance at our Washington, DC area hotel, ensuring quality and sustainability standards while delivering warm, guest-focused service. The role includes room inspections, electrical work, basic plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and keeping accurate maintenance records.

A high school diploma and trade school coursework are preferred, with prior engineering or maintenance experience required; growth paths include Engineering Supervisor

Qualifications

High School diploma and trade school coursework preferred.
Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
Install or repair basic electrical fixtures and light switches.
Repair furniture and install/repair televisions.
Perform minor plumbing functions and maintenance on heating/cooling pumps.
Trace and repair water lines; troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with codes.
Aim to improve guest satisfaction and support service recovery guidelines.
