Highgate Hotels in Denver, CO is seeking an Engineer, Level 2 responsible for maintaining the property in peak condition with minimal guest disruption. The role includes performing repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems, while documenting maintenance and supporting staff.

The position offers hourly pay, full-time benefits, and opportunities to supervise other engineering staff. Strong reading of blueprints and safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Must multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Must read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC systems and electrical equipment.
• Take required readings on equipment and test cooling towers.
• Replace and program televisions and lighting fixtures.
• Perform plumbing repairs and fix watery lines as needed.
• Repair and finish sheet rock and wall coverings.
• Repair hotel electronic lock systems and assist in supervising engineering staff.
