Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Tracy, California seeks an Engineer, Level 1 to keep the property in top condition with minimal disruption to guests. The role covers preventive maintenance, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and reporting.

You will read blueprints, perform repairs on boilers, chillers, pool equipment, lighting, and hotel systems, document maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes. Flexible hours required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of progressive hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Flexible with long hours and lifting heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, and related systems.
• Read equipment readings and test cooling towers; repair and program hotel systems as needed.
• Repair pumps, plumbing, lighting, and fixtures; maintain records and code compliance.
• Inspect swimming pools/spas and hotel components; patch sheet rock and wall coverings.
