Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks an Engineer 2 (Full-Time) to maintain Pagoda Hotel at the highest standard while minimizing guest disruption. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure to ensure reliable operations.

The position requires hands-on maintenance, preventive tasks, and collaboration with engineering leadership. Prior hotel experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or College coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical).
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Test cooling tower and record readings.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
• Assist in supervising other engineering staff.
