Job summary

Parks Hospitality Group is seeking an Engineer for Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh Cary and Doubletree Raleigh Cary. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform skilled maintenance across hotel facilities, reporting to the Chief Engineer and ensuring peak condition of guest-facing systems.

The role covers routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems, while maintaining records and supporting a team of maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or construction-related field, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Solid understanding of building maintenance principles and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Technical training or certification in a relevant trade is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, performing repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Assist with maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and reorder items as needed.
• Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
• Assist in training and mentoring other maintenance staff as needed.
