Job summary

Hilton in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Engineer (non-exempt) to support the hotel’s general maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and information systems. The role reports to the Chief Maintenance Engineer/GM and focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, safety, and coordination with vendors.

The position requires basic carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing skills, with a strong emphasis on safety and guest service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read & write in English and perform basic math.
• Effective communication with guests using tact & diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventive maintenance schedule for daily to quarterly tasks.
• Assist in inspections and keep compliant/non-compliant action files.
• Maintain filing systems for MSDS, safety, and vendor contacts.
• Support safety protocols in accordance with NC OSHA.
• Assist in budgeting and inventory control for maintenance supplies.
