Job summary

Highgate Hotels in San Francisco seeks an Engineer, Level 1 to maintain Hotel Caza in peak condition, ensuring minimal disruption to guests. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, read blueprints, and keep detailed repair records.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, with trade school/college coursework helpful, and the ability to multitask and communicate effectively. Some flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or experience in hotel/related field.
• At least 1 year of progressive experience in hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school/College coursework helpful in related field.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, etc).
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment; repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
