Highgate Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for The Huntington in San Francisco. The role ensures the property is maintained in excellent condition with minimal disruption to guests and staff.

Responsibilities include HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs to support a premium guest experience. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, with at least one year in a hotel or related field; trade school coursework is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of progressive hotel experience preferred.
• Trade school/college coursework helpful.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Repair hotel air conditioning systems (filters, coils, motors).
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, etc.
• Take equipment readings and test cooling towers.
• Replace and program televisions; repair lighting fixtures.
• Repair and finish sheet rock; repair wall coverings.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams; trace and repair water lines.
• Maintain maintenance records and comply with codes.
• Coordinate with team and respond to guest needs.
