Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician at the Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista to maintain hotel systems and the building envelope for guest safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, minor repairs, pool service, furniture refurbishing, and assisting with energy efficiency while ensuring courteous guest interactions and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry) required or 1+ of these areas.
• Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain hotel quality.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g., room care) and routine repairs.
• Check electrical systems, air conditioning controls, lighting, and perform minor repairs.
• Repair or replace equipment (kitchen, laundry, boilers, HVAC, plumbing) as needed.
• Service the pool and maintain pool chemicals and filters; log maintenance forms.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal; assist with painting and landscaping tasks.
• refurbish furniture/fixtures in guest rooms; move furniture as required.
• Respond to guest questions and requests; ensure courteous, timely service.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and comply with attendance rules.
