Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a dependable Hotel Engineer to maintain the property's physical assets and guest rooms, ensuring safety and exceptional guest experiences. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry disciplines.

The ideal candidate will diagnose problems efficiently, work independently, and adapt to a flexible schedule including weekends and after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general repair techniques.
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs efficiently.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on schedules per brand standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hotel equipment, guest rooms, and public areas.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests with professional service.
• Maintain appearance and functionality of guest rooms, corridors, meeting spaces, and exterior areas.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, lighting, and appliances.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and hotel standards.
• Support after-hours maintenance and emergency situations.
