Job summary

Villa Casa Casuarina in Miami Beach seeks a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to preserve the historic property, ensure safety, and support exceptional guest experiences.

You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and mechanical systems, respond to requests and emergencies, and maintain accurate logs. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays is required for this full-time, non-management role.

Qualifications

• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to protect the historic integrity of the property
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and hotel standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
• Assist with special projects, renovations, and inspections as needed

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to protect the historic integrity of the property
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and hotel standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
• Assist with special projects, renovations, and inspections as needed

Requirements

• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing
• Attention to detail with respect for historic architecture and finishes
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
