Job summary

InterContinental Hotel is seeking a maintenance technician to perform major repairs and routine upkeep to ensure quality and safety standards for guests. The role requires skilled building maintenance across multiple systems, with attention to inventory control and cross-department coordination.

The ideal candidate has vocational training and at least two years of general maintenance experience, with preferred certifications as required by law. Night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
• Professional certification and license if required by law.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to secure inventory and assets such as tools and supplies, and replenish in a timely manner.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Respond promptly to guest questions, complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform maintenance and repairs for areas including interior/exterior of buildings, rooms and equipment (HVAC, lighting, water systems).
• Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the following day’s work.
• Adhere to safety regulations and brand standards, reporting unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment.
