Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Richmond Downtown is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee department personnel, stepping in for the Executive Housekeeper as needed, and to uphold high cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and dependable, able to work well alone or as part of a team, with a strong awareness of deadlines and hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required.
• Prior experience as a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas. Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP
• Assist with leadership and direction for housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for both the guest rooms and public areas
• Train, motivate, and coach staff members with a friendly and nurturing style
• Submit work orders to maintenance department
• Ensure that operational and safety procedures are followed
• Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner
• Perform the work of housekeeping and laundry personnel when necessary
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
