Job summary

The RIT Inn & Conference Center in Rochester, NY is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee room inspections, maintain supply levels, and train staff to meet cleanliness and service standards.

You will manage day-to-day housekeeping operations, supervise associates, and ensure readiness of guestrooms and public areas while maintaining productivity and payroll targets. Open availability including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Hotel guestroom cleaning experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to all guests.
• Inspect guestrooms, student rooms, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness; prepare work orders for deficiencies.
• Maintain stock levels and organize housekeeping closets for accessibility and cleanliness.
• Monitor Vacant Ready rooms daily to ensure readiness for sale.
• Communicate room, supply, or staff issues to management and follow up as needed.
• Advise and assist in ordering linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
• Communicate cleaning deficiencies to housekeeping staff and ensure corrections are made.
• Assist in staffing, scheduling, and maintaining productivity and payroll targets.
• Serve as a primary trainer for new housekeeping associates and support ongoing staff development.
• Document associate issues and assist with HR processes.
• Complete end-of-day paperwork and department projects.
